Mont Blanc flexible stone on a private house
The stone stops at every white edge
This facade is mostly edges. White belt cornices, window surrounds and column faces divide the wall into fields, and Mont Blanc flexible stone fills every one of them. Each field ends at a white edge, so every cut is visible from the street — precision mattered more here than the area covered.
On a pale wall the tone of each panel reads. The material's natural variation was spread across the whole surface rather than grouped, so the wall looks like stone and not like a repair.
Three storeys over insulation: weight decides. At 4 kg/m², 350 m² adds about 1.4 tonnes. In natural stone it would have been seven to twelve — a load an insulation system will not take.
